2022

Held initial fundraiser (using the Kenyan fundraising site, MChanga)

• Goal: $4,000

• Raised: $6,600

• Started 501(c)(3) nonprofit:  Matunda Kwa Wote Fund (mkwf.org)

('Matunda' means 'fruit' in Kiswahili)

('Matunda kwa wote' means 'fruit for all')

Classroom renovations (See 2022 Renovation page for details):

• New classroom floors

• New outside walkways

• New classroom windows

• New classroom doors

• New ramps

• Refresh of stucco

• Fresh coat of paint

• Rain mitigation along buildings

Bathroom Renovation (See 2023 Bathrooms page for details):

• Modern bathrooms:  toilets, showers, handwashing station

• New Septic system

Health Education:

• Days for Girls (menstrual health education)

• Water Filtration system for school

Playground Equipment

English Book Library

Technology Lab (more info to follow) - this lab will help students AND community members

Well Drilling:

• Promotes better health and sanitation (allows school to fully utilize new bathroom facilities)

• Promotes sef-sustainabilty for the school (future revenue-generating projects all need water!)
